Propagation Unveiling

Today, I eagerly decided to examine one of those propagated roses in a jar, the one with a long root peeking through the fabric. I carefully cut the fabric to reveal an abundance of healthy roots that the cutting had produced. It was truly inspiring to see the impressive growth of roots.

I carefully preserved the existing media and replanted it in a pot with a similar mix, maintaining its original integrity.

The Key West Rock Rose has found a new home, and we’re hopeful that it will thrive and continue to grow.

I decided to pick another one of those roses. This one didn’t show any signs of roots, but when I gently tugged it, it didn’t budge. So, I carefully cut the bag open on this one.

To my surprise, it did indeed contain an abundance of delightful roots. Simply amazing!

I went ahead and repotted it again, keeping as much of the original media it rooted in.

Peace Rose

Both of these were initiated on February 25th, 2024, which is great progress! Later this week, I’ll open the remaining ones that were started in February and check if they have taken root as well.

Take a look around!
