2020 was an interesting year! As it forced everyone to modify their lives and their every day, it was a year to open our eyes and see life from a different angle. It brought families together, took loves ones, made our home into offices and parents into teaches, brought sadness and brought anger, exposed our leaders in their true form, brought doubt and disbelief, separated classes, and showed us entitlement. We have also experienced that we have the capability to be simplistic and we can slow down the pace of our lives and still enjoy life. Depending on the part of the world that you may reside in and how our lives have changed and have demonstrated the capabilities of our surrounding population and showed us who cares for our society and the human race. We’ve had and still have amazing nurses and doctors busting their butts to save lives and at the same time, the disbelievers adding to their despair. We’ve seen what confusion and fear of the unknown does to people. We have also seen that leadership with greed and power hungriness can do to a country and see how politics can separate our society, it’s sad that we as humans have not learned from our history, we may be advancing technologically wise but have failed in just being humane well, and a “Human being, a culture-bearing primate classified in the genus Homo, especially the species H. sapiens. As 2020 is gone and we enter 2021 with the bitter taste of the previous year, we can only hope that we open our eyes and understand that we all share the grounds that we stand on and that we don’t live for the moment we live for the future, what we do today affects us tomorrow. We can only hope that we learn to respect, ideas, opinions, cultures, differences, and that together we move forward for the sake of our civilization and we become human beings again with abstract reasoning. We still have a lot of caring realistic individuals in our world and as we go through these trying times, we need to work together through this human evolution.
This 2021 year I wish for hope, health, and healing for the human race. May we all be and continue to be as creative and caring as possible.
