So, I previously told you that I had been working on other projects, here’s some pics of my porch swing frame that I built.. Hubby and I put it up. I also added some additional 4 x 6″s for hammocks, I will post some pics with the hammocks up this weekend. The swing frame was built from 3 4x6x8 post dug 2 1 foot down and added some simpson brand post support that I thought weren’t enough so we added the 4×4 side kick to the swing (dug 2 feet down and 3 bags of cement) . The hammocks were just 4″ x 6″ x 8′ dug 2 feet down 2 bags of cement each post . It seems that it’s sturdy enough, we’ll see. I also stained and protected it with spar lacquer.
