Sketching helps me focus on lines, curvature, undulation and reminds me of Théophile Victor Emile Lemmens and his under acknowledge work. I enjoy using a pencil and letting it flow on paper and practicing the great skill of Lemmen’s undulations that were reflected in his art work. It brings me back when I go off on a tangent and start losing the feel, the roundness, 3D of the subject that I so much yearn to have in my paintings.
So here it is, perhaps not the most perfect hand but I think I accomplished a sense of “roundness”. Still working on my other two )the frog and the one point perspective café painting) but like I said previously about going off on a tangent, well… I did and I will soon share.
